DESCRIPTION:

PLATINUM TK Super-Flex series torches offer exceptional flexibility and control, even in the most delicate and demanding TIG applications. Designed for use on professional TIG welding machines (such as AC/DC), where a lightweight, flexible, and slimline/low-profile torch is preferred.
Can be used together with a foot controller/pedal, or as a switched torch using the optional trigger kit.
Features highly flexible 1-piece cable with soft braided cover, flexi torch head, parts kit, and a range of gas fittings to suit most machines/models. Available in the #17 series and #18 water-cooled series.

*For fitting the torch to machines that have a threaded gas outlet, cut off the existing quick-connect fitting and replace it  with the applicable threaded fitting, using hose nipple/barb and hose clamps supplied with the torch

TYPICAL  APPLICATION:

For use on professional TIG welding machines (typically AC/DC machines), where a lightweight, flexible, and slimline torch is preferred for maximum dexterity & control, and:

• The operator is using a foot pedal/foot controller.  The valve, switch & other controls on the torch head are NOT required, as all controls/adjustments are made via the foot pedal.
• OR, an optional trigger kit is fitted to allow on/off control on the torch, with all other controls via either the machine control panel, or with a foot pedal.

OTHER SPECIFICATIONS:

• TK17 series: 150 amp max capacity: suitable for use with tungsten electrodes up to 2.4mm, and for welding materials up to approx' 3mm thickness
• TK18 water-cooled series: 350 amp max capacity
• Suits all Weldclass AC/DC TIG machines & most other brands and models of professional and AC/DC TIG welders
• Not recommended for use with 'basic' TIG welders that do not have integrated/internal TIG gas line (for this application, use Weldclass 17FV/26FV series torches, which have valved head and extended gas hose with 5/8" female fitting for direct connection to gas bottle/regulator)
