Cyanoacrylate Primer 150g

DESCRIPTION:

Chemtools® Rapidstick™ Cyanoacrylate Adhesives Primer is designed to promote adhesion to or between difficult-to-bond, low-surface energy plastics such as polypropylene, polyethylene, polyolefin, and PTFE. Bond strength may be increased by up to 20 times with its use.

DIRECTIONS (READ LABEL BEFORE USE):

• Remove all contaminants from the surfaces to be bonded before application.
• Optimum primer-coating thickness is dependent upon the plastic type and area of application. Testing before application is recommended. Only one coat of 8-CAP Primer is advised. Multiple coats may result in reduced adhesion.
• Spray from a distance of 250mm – 300mm from the surface. Allow to dry for approximately 3 minutes.
• Bond parts with cyanoacrylate adhesives based on application requirements. If the joint consists of two polyolefin-type materials, the primer is applied to both surfaces. If the joint involves only one bond between a polyolefin and a more active or easier-to-bond material, only apply the primer to the polyolefin.
• The cyanoacrylate adhesive should then be applied to the active material within 6 hours for optimum bond values. If necessary, 8-CAP Primer can be re-applied after 6 hours.
• Bonding operations involving adhesives should be completed immediately after applying the adhesive to one of the surfaces.

• Drying Time @ 20°C:  30 seconds
• Drying Time on Part Life:  8 hours

Please refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use. Use with adequate ventilation and avoid breathing fumes. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. This product may produce adverse health conditions, ranging from minor skin irritation to serious systemic effects. It should not be used, stored, or transported until the handling precautions and recommendations as stated in the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for this product have been fully understood by all
persons who will work with the material.

STORAGE:

Keep out of reach of children. Store below 30°C. Protect from direct sunlight. Do not expose to temperatures exceeding 50°C.
Containers must be secured and stored upright during transit.
