1935 The legacy begins
Hobson Engineering was established in Alexandria in 1935 by Ron Hobson. Though there was only a small product range, the name became synonymous with precision and quality. The major lines were bicycle axles (no imported bicycles in those days!) and roller skates, with Hobson's 'ROLLERPLANE' being revered as the best skate available. The brand gained further recognition when Ron became the Australian roller skating champion using his skates.
